Coming Up: Decatur Christmas Parade 2021

Decatur Christmas Parade 2021

Save the date! In three days, as in Monday, December 6th, the Decatur Christmas Parade 2021 will roll through downtown spreading holiday cheer with festive floats, sparkly vehicles, merry walkers and more.

The Parade

A favorite holiday tradition in town has asked participants to “Dec’ the Halls” and represent their favorite Decatur attraction—in style.

That means pick your favorite Decatur hot spot. Channel your inner holiday spirit. Finally, deck out your floats, yourselves, your buggies, your pets and things with all the sparkling holiday bling you have on-hand!

This year, the Decatur Christmas Parade 2021 will begin promptly at 6 p.m. The starting point for the parade will be at the intersection of Second Avenue and Gordon Drive. The parade route will end at the Old State Bank.

Remember to pick out your favorite float, walkers, animals and vehicle to see how they match up to the four lucky cash prize winners. Judges will select the “best of” in these four categories: Best Decorated Float, Best Walking Group, Best Animal Unit and Best Decorated Vehicle.

More About the Parade

Each year, the Decatur Jaycees organize and host the city’s Christmas Parade. Last month, the group announced on their Facebook page that the Grand Marshall for the parade festivities is Decatur Junior Chamber of Commerce member John Seymour.
